mattisgalactic.com

mattisgalactic.com is a memorial and living archive for my late older brother.

The architecture is a full-stack Next.js app over a Postgres database, with his media (art, photos, video) served from Cloudflare R2 and the private family archive behind a Clerk-gated login.

After he passed in April 2023, I set out to recover everything I could of what he left behind, his art, photos, videos, writing, and old conversations, pulled back from his phones, laptops, and accounts, and gave it a permanent home so none of it disappears. Anyone who knew him can visit the public side; my family and I also have a private side where we can go through the full archive. I built it to keep his work and his memory in one place.
